International Day for Women in Maritime – MAREX International Maritime Women – Empowerment Conference and Awards 2022
H.E. Mrs. Yasiel Burillo, Ambassador and Consul General of Panama In India participated as Guest of Honour at the MAREX International Maritime Women – Empowerment Conference and Awards 2022, which covered powerful topics such as the promotions of allyship, care infrastructure in maritime, targeted education, gender bias in maritime and the creation of positive ecosystems in this industry.
Our Ambassador and Consul General gave a valuable speech on Panama’s progress towards gender equality, focusing on the development of opportunities that pave the way for the consolidation of initiatives that empower women in the workplace, specifically in the Maritime Industry. She also shared best practices and encouraged women interested in the Maritime Industry to pursue these careers.
This valuable event was celebrated on the occasion of the International Day for Women in Maritime, May 18.
Día Internacional de la Mujer Marítima – Conferencia y Premiación Internacional MAREX de Empoderamiento de la Mujer Marítima 2022
La Embajadora y Cónsul General de Panamá en la India, S.E. Yasiel Burillo, participó como invitada de honor en la Conferencia y Premiación Internacional MAREX de Empoderamiento de la Mujer Marítima 2022, en la que se trataron temas de gran importancia como la promoción de la inclusión, la infraestructura de atención en el ámbito marítimo, la educación dirigida, el sesgo de género en el ámbito marítimo y la creación de ecosistemas positivos en esta industria.
Nuestra Embajador y Cónsul General dio un valioso discurso donde exaltó los avances de Panamá hacia la igualdad de género, centrándose en el desarrollo de oportunidades que allanen el camino para la consolidación de iniciativas que empoderen a la mujer en el ámbito laboral, específicamente en la Industria Marítima. Asímismo compartió mejores prácticas y exhortó a las mujeres interesadas en la Industria Marítima a tomar estas carreras.
Este valioso evento se celebró con motivo del Día Internacional de la Mujer Marítima, el 18 de mayo.
