Reunión con D.G. Shipping en Mumbai
Este lunes 17 de noviembre de 2025, el Cónsul General de Panamá en Mumbai sostuvo una importante reunión con ejecutivos del Directorate General of Shipping , máxima autoridad reguladora del sector marítimo en la India.
La agenda incluyó la revisión de procesos relacionados con la expedición de licencias a tripulaciones de nacionalidad india que laboran en naves de bandera panameña y el reconocimiento y certificación de Centros de Formación panameños establecidos en India.
El Capitán Abul Kalam Azad y su equipo, junto al Cónsul Rodríguez Prada y la Ing. Nelly Scott de la Oficina Regional de Documentación de la AMP en Mumbai, analizaron aspectos técnicos esenciales para asegurar que Panamá continúe cumpliendo con las normativas marítimas de la India.
Un paso más para fortalecer la cooperación bilateral y la seguridad operacional en el sector marítimo.

Meeting with D.G. Shipping in Mumbai
This Monday, November 17, 2025, the Consul General of Panama in Mumbai held an important meeting with executives from the Directorate General of Shipping, the highest regulatory authority of the maritime sector in India.
The agenda included the review of processes related to the issuance of licenses for Indian crew members working on Panama-flagged vessels, as well as the recognition and certification of Panamanian Training Centers established in India.
Captain Abul Kalam Azad and his team, together with Consul Rodríguez Prada and Engineer Nelly Scott from the AMP Regional Documentation Office in Mumbai, analyzed essential technical aspects to ensure that Panama continues to comply with India’s maritime regulations.
Another step forward in strengthening bilateral cooperation and operational safety in the maritime sector.
